The USA Suite off Dan Deacon's album America, from last year, made an unanimous appearance on our best tracks of 2012. For me, it was the audacity for Deacon to do something as uncool as something that Aaron Copland would have done. I mean, it was so populist that it seemed like a Sufjan Stevens move. But, Deacon's composition was undoubtedly a musical highlight of 2012 and now it comes back as a 22 min film of all 4 tracks directed by David Hughes. Enjoy a trippy America below:
