Louisville's Wax Fang has been a staple of the Derby City for years with a thumbs up and nod from My Morning Jacket and several full length releases that run that gambit from rock to operatic concept records. I've always been interested in the bands ability to take on a multitude of sounds, but had never been completely won over by a single track.
That is until today when the band released the brilliant song, "Hearts Are Made For Beating". The band has had this track in their live shows and a few recordings, but this new version is one of the most gorgeous rock tunes of year. "Hearts Are Made For Beating" is subtle, patient, intelligent, and executes all the small moments perfectly to result in a timeless track.
