My front runner for album of 2011 is far and away Mother Mother's masterpiece "Eureka" (March 15th Last Gang Records).  The record is a hybrid between hyper upbeat feel good melodies and emotionally driven songs.  You don't need to know anything about Mother Mother, just watch this video and the talent is obvious.  Enjoy:
