According to The Guardian, Russia has recently passed an amnesty law which would release Pussy Riot members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina ahead of schedule. The law, which passed 446 to 0 is aimed at first time offenders, minors, and women with small children. Tolokonnikova's husband, Petya Verzilov, who has been outspoken about her condition and treatment in the hands of Russian authorities, said that he believed an order had been given to speed up the process. The amnesty bill will also speed up the release of 30 Greenpeace protestors arrested in September. For more, read the article by clicking the link above.
