We've bemoaned the demise of the music video as an actual art form almost ad nauseam on WLFY, but just as soon as you begin to lose faith, there are some videos that actually have that rare quality of adapting a track into something just as appealing as the track itself. Today's reinvigoration of the form comes from Jonathan Wilson's Fanfare and the most single-ready of it's tracks "Love to Love" which premiered today on Nowness. Directed by Grant James and Magdalena Wosinska in collaboration with veteran documentary maker Robert Carl Cohen, the video utilizes archival footage and fresh footage in a timeless tale of California's corruptive and redemptive powers.
