On the newest track from Brooklyn's TEEN, "Big Talk", the band attacks the senses with disjointed organization. The song begins with a skittering synth matched by vocals that blur like a VHS tape from drone to perfect pitch and clarity. "Big Talk" plays like a galaxy of sonic ideas, swirling around independent of a greater thought...and then...everything snaps in line and the song takes off. This is the intelligent playfulness that has made TEEN one of the more welcomed new bands in recent memory.
