We've had a Sharon Van Etten crush for a while now (1,2,3), now it seems that Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) - that Wisconsin beardo who NPR loves - is comin' and trying to move in on our territory. C'mon, man! Now, as a rule, I generally don't post up concert videos, esp. ones that are as low-quality as this one, but I do love me some Bon Iver and some S.V.E. The pretty astonishing thing with this video for me is how Vernon isn't making any real attempt to alter the song at all. He lets that falsetto belt, and keeps the instrumentation pretty damn pat. That can only say one thing, there's nothing to improve of in Sharon's work. And that's love in and of itself.
