HANK ALTOGETHER:Drag City keeps on giving. This time it's "Good Intentions Paving Company" from Joanna Newsom's forthcoming Have One On Me LP, whose artwork you see above. The plaintive cry of '81 has given way to a kind of Band-inspired jammy piano riff and Newsom's (as always) singular storytelling.

I was impressed with the first track unveiled from Have One On Me but “Good Intentions” takes it to another level. The vocal acrobatics Joanna Newsom puts on display here is invigorating!
