Ted Leo Beefs with P4k

HANK ALTOGETHER:

Ted Leo received a kind of back handed compliment from P4k.
Matador is offering a song from the new joint for free download, so head on over to Forkcast to hear the chunky, satisfying rocker "Even Heroes Have to Die". From the sound of that one, Leo may have been spending some serious time listening to fellow Jersey natives the Gaslight Anthem.
And the man among men hit back with this.
Hey - I got nothing against what I know about The Gaslight Anthem, Pitchfork - fellow Jerseyans, write some good songs, etc. - but doesn’t my 20+ years of service in this industry qualify me for a journalistic benefit of the doubt that I’m probably not being influenced by them as I write my… like… 300th song (or that maybe we’re both drawing inspiration from a similar pool of even older artists)? I’m just sayin’…
We're with ya, Ted. Via.

Pitchfork is one of those new fangled blogs, right? A new one?
