I don't know this band. But I hate them. Their debut music video is a poorly executed thumbs up to the great film Rushmore. Please, hate this band with me.

Man, take it easy. Yes, it's a shameless rip off of a video but a catchy tune none the less. If you just don't like the song then that's one thing but If you hate the band because of the video then get over it.
You can tell a lot about a band off their music video. I find weird rip offs like this one kind if unforgivable. Who thought this was a good idea? I don't hate the band...and since I have bashed them...I will seek out a copy of the record and give it a fair shake...but really...did they think people who enjoy this video?
Yeah I don't care for them much either. I've had the misfortune of "doing business" with them in the past... they aren't Thieves, only Crooks. More specifically a recycling plant for management, musicians, and worst of all... friends. Bad people! And I don't just toss that phrase around.
And yes, the video is exactly as you describe it. It also details a timeline of the band going from an indie band doing their own thing to a major/indie signed band whose label renewed their target audience (that is, high school and early college kids).
Definitely an old thread but I have to put my two cents in....company of thieves would be good if you did two things rewrite all the music and lyrics and punch that bitch singer in the throat....she sounds awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
