City and Colour – Bring Me Your Love

Hailing from Ontario, Dallas Green took a literal approach in naming his solo project as City (Dallas) and Colour (Green)…yeah. The album is your typical guy with a guitar who has a lot of venting to do…but as with Elliott Smith, Sam Beam, and others, the sound fits Green. The album starts slow and builds it way to greatness, a few tracks in you start to understand what he’s trying to do with the album. I’m also a sucker for Charles Bukowski and the guy named the album off of one of his books, so that’s bonus points for me.
