I got friends who will tell you that Talkdemonic sound like an instrumental version of Kickball. I got other friends who'll tell you that its a shame that Talkdemonic doesn't have a vocalist.
To me, they're like existential bluegrass. And Stereogum just shared the new track off their third LP - Eyes at Half Mast which is gonna "drop" on Sept. 16. The track's called "March Movement" and like most of Talkdemonic's stuff it's pretty incredible.

Talkdemonic is also on a rad new 2 disc comp from PDX Pop Now (aptly named PDX Pop Now!). The artists are all from Portland and of every genre you can think of. The Talkdemonic soung there isn't as strong as some of their other work, but there are a few killer tracks to take note of.
